The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be the largest sporting event ever hosted in the UK. Four billion people are expected to be watching worldwide, and 14,000 athletes from 205 nations will be coming to participate.
The UK Border Agency is supporting the delivery of a safe and secure Games. Our work will ensure the smooth arrival and departure of people and goods. We will run security checks on more than 380,000 workers and participants. We will consider applications for visas to attend the Games, and we will support other law enforcement agencies responsible for security.
